Kid’s Protectors of the Environment (KPE) provides a free after school enrichment program for students in grades K through 5th. The program starts on August 15, 2017 and ends June 8, 2018.    It begins immediately following the dismissal bell and is in session until 6:00pm.  Students attending the KPE program are signed in by our staff and signed out by a designated person upon end of program day. Students are provided with supper, homework assistance, sports, outdoor recreation activities, and enrichment activities that include: art, science, social studies and performing arts.

Due to limited enrollment, students must attend five days a week and stay the duration of the program. The only exception is if your child is in a parallel program that doesn’t exceed more than once a week.  Should there be any other concerns, KPE will be glad to discuss further. If the student fails to attend the program on a regular basis or continuously leaving early or being picked up after 6pm, the student’s participation can be jeopardized.  On the first occurrence, parent/guardian will be given a documented verbal warning. If it happens a second time a written warning about being dismissed from the program will be signed by all parties. Upon a third time situation occurs, the student will be dismissed and replaced with a student on the waiting list.  Also, students who disrupt the class bully others, and show disrespect can be subjected to dismissal from the program.  Finally, any student who wishes to no longer attend the program must have a written letter from the parents.
